Home Away from Home

For the duration of the 46-day cruise, we will be conducting research and living aboard the RVIB Nathaniel B Palmer. The ship will serve as our living space as well as our work space, from January 29 – March 16, 2014, and is integral to the success of our cruise.  The ship will depart from and return to Hobart Tasmania. The ship is operated by personnel from Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) and Antarctic Support Contract (ASC).  ECO is responsible for staffing the master of the vessel and mates, along with vessel crew, while ASC technical staff support the science operations.
